In 1986, a young and determined Deepak ventured into Nainital, driven by an unyielding desire to carve out a better life for himself. With no support, no money, and a large family that stretched his father's resources thin, he had little to rely on except his will to succeed. To survive, he began teaching small children, earning just enough to cover his basic needs. Even in those early days, with the weight of financial uncertainty hanging over him, Deepak was resolute in his ambition to build something of his own.

After much struggle, Deepak secured a job as a room service executive in a hotel. It wasn't glamorous, but he saw it as an opportunity to learn and grow. He absorbed every lesson he could from those around him, working tirelessly and always keeping his dream in sight. Over the years, as he gained experience in different hotels and restaurants, Deepak began to see the possibilities that lay ahead. He took a leap of faith, taking out a loan to buy his first car, and thus began his side venture—a taxi business that would slowly but surely grow.

Years of hard work paid off when Deepak was appointed General Manager of a four-star hotel. But even as he excelled in this role, he never lost sight of his entrepreneurial spirit. In 2009, with a bold vision, he opened Manas Lake View Guest House in Nainital, a move that proved to be a resounding success. The hotel quickly earned a reputation as one of the best in the area, celebrated for its stunning location and exceptional service.

By 2015, Deepak's travel business had expanded significantly, boasting a fleet of more than 20 cars and a network of hotels that had come onboard thanks to the relationships and reputation he had built. In 2017, he took his company to new heights, rebranding it as Manas Group —a name that would soon become synonymous with excellence in Uttarakhand's hospitality industry.

Today, Manas Group stands as a beacon of innovation and quality in the travel industry. For over 20 years, it has been at the forefront of reshaping the tourism experience in Uttarakhand, crafting unforgettable moments that go beyond just a place to stay or a way to get there. Under Deepak's leadership, the company has consistently exceeded expectations, offering dream getaways that resonate deeply with travelers. With over 25 years of experience, Deepak has always viewed his company as a force capable of making a significant impact. His vision and commitment to quality have been the driving forces behind Manas Group's success.

His son, Manas Matiyali , an alumni of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS MUMBAI) also shares his father's passion and vision. He believes in the transformative power of travel, viewing it not just as a journey, but as an opportunity to create lifelong memories. Manas Group is committed to continually innovating and elevating the travel experience, striving to provide clients with the extraordinary.

Over the years, Manas Group has onboarded many prestigious clients and completed over 15,000 tours, touching the lives of more than 1.2 million people. The company’s impressive clientele includes giants like Veena World, Heena, Kesari, Akhil Bharat, and many more.

In recognition of his contributions to the industry, Deepak was appointed Union Secretary of the Taxi Association in Nainital in 2021. His dedication and leadership have now earned him the prestigious role of Union Secretary of the Taxi Association for the entire Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand in 2024—a testament to his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the industry and the community.
